01-02 June 2019Art.Spring 2019Prerequisite for the participation in the festival and exhibitions is, in addition to the operation of their own studio in the district, professional artistic work. For this reason, a possible thematic or curatorial superstructure was deliberately omitted: rather an inventory is the aim of the exhibition. All conceivable media will be represented. The organizers are also looking forward to the current state of art production in Pankow, Weißensee and Prenzlauer Berg. The exhibitions in the Zeiss-Großplanetarium and the Janusz-Korczak-Bibliothek reflect this approach. 02 June 2019WeddingmarktThe Weddingmarkt is a high-quality art and cultural market that has been established in Berlin-Wedding for six years. In 2019, the Wedding Market is scheduled for five or six times (always on the 1st Sunday, May to Sept. & Christmas Edition) on the Leopoldplatz. In the meantime, around seventy supraregionally well-known artists and creative artists take part per appointment, in total over 300 different participants per year. The visitor numbers are in the four-digit range, record 5000 visitors. Since its foundation, the Weddingmarkt has often moved. Since 2017 it is now permanently on the Leopoldplatz, and planned to remain there for the next 5 years.
